Cincinnati Children’s Hospital HVMC 5K

The event raised $7000 for the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, through admissions sales, a raffle, and monetary donations. Proceeds directly benefit further research for HVMC.

LCH 5K

May 5, 2019

Salons 117 hosted their first community 5k run/walk on May 5, 2019. The 5k celebrates the life of Robert Viox, 17 year old son of Jen Viox, a stylist at Salons 117. At two years old, Robert was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer known as LCH. Robert was in treatment at Cincinnati Children's Hospital under the care of Dr. Ashish Kumar, and Robert survived his diagnosis. Dr. Kumar made an emotional appearance at the 5k, and was also present after the event when accepting the donation.
